Accessibility

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA on this site.

Where we stand

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we are actively remediating. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard and some parts do not yet. We would rather say so than claim otherwise.

What we have done

Every page can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and opens with a link that skips the masthead and goes straight to the content. Interactive elements show a visible focus ring. Text and essential borders are set to meet the contrast ratios the standard asks for. Photographs that carry meaning have text alternatives, and decorative ones are hidden from screen readers. Every field on the membership form has a real label, and the form’s result is announced rather than only shown. All motion on the site — the drifting land, the entrances, the pinned sequence — stops for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion, and the hero carries a Pause motion button so the two animations that loop on their own can be stopped from the page itself.

Known limitations

The long-form home page is a single scrolling document with a pinned sequence in the middle of it, and we are still testing how that section reads with a screen reader on a small screen. Third-party pages linked from here — including the AnglerPass and HunterPass platforms — are outside our control and are not covered by this statement.

Report a barrier

If anything on this site keeps you from finding what you need, please tell us through the membership enquiry form, and say what you were trying to do and what got in the way. Describing the page and the browser or assistive technology you were using helps us reproduce it.

Our commitment

We read every report and will respond. Where we can fix something quickly we will, and where a fix will take longer we will tell you what we are doing and offer another way to get the information you were after.
